I am incredibly proud of this bodysuit project! As I have grown and matured in my sewing, I realized that I need to make pattern adjustments to standard sizes in order for them to fit me well.
Making this bodysuit required merging three sizes and lengthening it by 2 inches. I wasn’t really expecting it to fit since I’ve never done this many pattern modifications but I was pleasantly surprised!
The bodysuit fits perfectly.
The Ariane bodysuit pattern from Seamwork was straightforward for the most part. I had trouble figuring out how the middle of the bodice (where the elastic meets) was supposed to be finished so it is a little imperfect.
The fabric is a half yard piece that I bought from Girl Charlee. It’s a thin sweater knit that is VERY soft.
The fold-over elastic was purchased from Porcelynne.
Me trying to pretend that I’m okay with half a foot of snow on the first day of Spring.
And that my boots aren’t filled with snow….
I’m pretty happy with this project! Interested in some of the resources that I mentioned? Check them out below:
