This prompt came from Winter Tangerine. It prompts poets to “write a poem a younger you needed to read.”
Here is what I wrote.
You are worthy of:
- counseling and treatment
- people who stay
- space to express emotions honestly
- sunny days
- a boy who loves you back
- compliments on good and bad days
- love, even when depression tells you otherwise
- buying TOMs
- friends who invest in you
- caramel iced coffee
- mentors who never stop believing in you
- self-love
I hope this is encouraging to you as well.
Love,
Moriah
